My journey began at the Abbey National mortgage call centre in Bradford back in 2003. I later worked as a mortgage adviser at local branches of Santander and Yorkshire Bank before becoming self-employed in 2015, and CrowNEST Mortgages was established six years later. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, and I am a passionate supporter of Bradford City Football Club.

We meet the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) definition of a whole-of-market mortgage broker, as we consider and provide advice on thousands of mortgage products which are available from over 90 lenders.

We offer a no-obligation initial consultation so you can understand your options without commitment.

We typically charge a £295 fee upon receipt of your mortgage offer for our services, though this may vary depending on the complexity of your mortgage requirements.

We may also receive commission from the provider of any products you take out. Full details of our fees will always be explained upfront before any work begins.

We are primarily an online-only mortgage broker, and most appointments are conducted over the phone or via Zoom, Teams, etc. Plus, we have a secure online portal for clients to upload documents and send messages.

We provide the same service as a face-to-face mortgage broker - assisting customers in securing the most suitable mortgage - but without the need for time-consuming face-to-face meetings. We use technology to speed up your application, provide you with the best possible mortgage broker experience, and help you find a mortgage, but you'll still speak to a real human mortgage adviser.

I hold the Level 4 Certificate in Advanced Mortgage Advice, which goes above and beyond the FCA’s minimum qualification requirements.

CrowNEST Mortgages is impartial and is a whole-of-market mortgage broker, whereas brokers attached to lenders are known as ‘tied brokers’.

Tied brokers are bound to one lender; multi-tied brokers are bound to a panel of lenders that they can recommend. Whole-of-market brokers have a broad access to the mortgage market, which tends to include most lenders - except those that will only work direct to customer.
